Zacpac are excited to announce that the building works for their new Queensland location are on track. This major expansion includes a new 8000sqm manufacturing facility located at Stapylton, half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The steel frame and roofing has been erected which has provided the advantage of being able to continue work during the Gold Coast summer storm season as work can be carried out undercover.
Office sewer lines are complete and the storm water drainage is nearly finished. The large storage tanks for the water treatment plant are finished as is the storage tank for the treated water to be used for recycling. Early next week will see the concreting for the factory floor begin pouring.
This is great news for local contractors as over 50 are involved in the building of the new Zacpac Queensland facility. Mid February Zacpac expect to start transferring stock and equipment to the new site and then installation of the manufacturing machinery will begin. At this time Zacpac will be hiring 8 – 12 full time employees and a further 8 – 12 employees over the following three months once production commences. To date an additional three full time staff members have commenced with Zacpac Queensland.
